What are Freeze Dried Petals?

We Freeze Dry Roses, Flowers and Foliage that unbelievably look and feel like natural fresh flowers.

We make our beautiful Petals by placing thousands of Roses and Flowers into a huge machine called a Freeze Dry Machine at very freezing cold temperatures…at minus 20 degrees cold! After the Roses and Flowers are completely frozen we turn on a powerful vacuum pump, which gently removes the water in each petal as we slowly warm up the temperature to room temperature. Our “State of the Art” highly technical computerized Freeze Dry Machines have been rated by Good Housekeeping Magazine that freeze drying is the best Floral preservation method available to preserve Flowers.

The process is called sublimination where the moisture is extracted from the petals in a gaseous state without turning into a liquid. The moisture laden gas moves down to another sub cold chamber where the gas forms ice from the Flowers and is removed. This process takes along time to do that, 3-5 weeks depending on how many Flowers I have put inside. The Roses and Flowers are now very dry to be used in many various ways. We take 12 rose heads and gently peel each petal off to make one box of Petals. We sell the Rose Heads, Flowers and Foliage for Florists and Crafters to use on wreaths, swags and other decorations.

We have been happily preserving Wedding Bouquets, Roses and Rose Petals since 1991 and to date have 3 of the largest Freeze Dried Machines available. “Alexander”, “Alexandria” and “Sampson”!

Naturally everyone loves the Romantic Beauty of Rose Petals! Now, you can have the exact look and feel of fresh petals since perfectly preserved dried petals not only retain their natural shape as a fresh petal, it also keeps the soft texture of a fresh petal! Once we freeze the Roses and Flowers, they stay in the exact natural shape as they were naturally.
